This training covers the most commonly encountered breastfeeding questions and problems encountered when caring for breastfeeding dyads. Topics include:
Prenatal breastfeeding education
Intrapartum/early postpartum support
Evaluation and management of low milk supply
Breast/nipple pain
The use of medications during breastfeeding
Complications in the early postpartum period
Breast pump counseling
This course is beneficial for physicians and other providers, including midwives, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and students of these professions.
