Lactation Through the Lifespan- Parents, Babies, Providers, Community

OBJECTIVES: These objectives aim to view lactation through the lifespan with an equitable lens. We consider the needs and wellbeing of parents, babies, healthcare providers and the greater community.

  • Attendees will gain tools to foster  supportive environments that promote  family and workplace policies which enable parents to continue providing human milk to their children for as long as they choose.

  • Attendees will gain evidence based information on infant feeding, allowing them to make well-informed choices that align with their goals, scope of work and environment

  • Attendees will gain an increased  understanding  on human milk composition, infant feeding and lactation support for all types of families through the lifespan of their lactation journey
